We stumbled across the National Public Radio (NPR) interview with Anthony Bourdain back in October 2016 and was reminded by how insightful and entertaining he is with his commentary and storytelling. Definitely a role model for our project and travels.
It caught our ear when he spoke about his Borneo episode—tune in at 8:50. Bourdain’s description traveling down the Skrang River on the Malaysian side of the island reminded us of our experience traveling down the Sekonyer River on the Indonesian side. We can’t wait to go back, just like Bourdain.
