Instagram - Asli Food Project

It’s been several months since the inauguration of Asli Food Project in the Northwest Coast. So how are we doing?

John Kallas is a man who does not have Instagram nor does he care much for modern technology (evident when I needed to mail a check to register for this workshop 😂), so it takes some sleuthing to find him and the fascinating research he’s been conducting for decades.

Spring is quickly rolling into the Northwest Coast, so I was more than willing to go outdoors to get one on one with all the new edible growth peeking out.

Dear community-

The best way of getting to the beach and back — on the back of flatbed truck. Wind in the hair, breathing in the air. Just watch for low-hanging tree branches. They’ll slap you without mercy.
